Na co dzień Amsterdam to miasto pełne turystów z całego Świata, jednak dziś jest pusto, co pozwala lepiej uchwycić charakter miejsca oraz migrujących w nim pyłów.
Moje działanie to zapis miejsca na 66 m taśmy klejącej, która rejestruje jak kamera, a nawet dokładniej — łapie niewidzialne drobiny. Migrujące podmuchy wiatru unoszą w przestrzeni miasta zanieczyszczenia, dym, piasek, włosy, kurz i zapachy, właśnie to co tworzy uczucie danego momentu. Jednak, aby moment stał się widoczny i zarejestrowany potrzebna jest taśma oraz bezpieczny dystans, 66 metrów.

Praca jest kontynuacją video "Przeciąg" z 2017 roku.

Kamila Wolszczak /ur. 1988/ jest artystką sztuk wizualnych tworzącą na pograniczu video, instalacji, rysunku, performansu, walking art. Absolwentka Malarstwa na Uniwersytecie Marii Curie-Skłodowskiej w Lublinie, Mediacji Sztuki na Akademii Sztuk Pięknych im. Eugeniusza Gepperta we Wrocławiu oraz stypendystka na Universidad Politechnica de Valencia. Obecnie mieszka w Amsterdamie.

Od 2016 wraz z Katarzyną Dominiką Borkowską tworzy kolektyw Paraperformance. Projekty i działania Wolszczak można było zobaczyć m.in. na Warsaw International Performance Art Weekend w Warszawie 2016, Kunstsommer w Wiesbaden 2016, Miami New Media Festival 2015, 16. Media Art Biennale WRO 2015, Muza Space for Art, Jaffa Tel Aviv 2014, Galeria H2O Barcelona 2013, Galeria Entropia 2017.

Kamila Wolszczak
I was born on April 7, 1988, and grew up in the rural areas surrounding the city Chelm in Poland. This unique landscape will later appear to be deciding in my artistic projects and personal developments. Currently I’m living and working at my studio in Amsterdam. I am creating projects about the relations between the viewer, artist and space with performance art and installation. Many times during projects I delegate my ideas and try to fulfil the needs of the participants with an idea and time. The territory where I am creating is called art mediation or social engaged art, but the truth is that I accept change as inevitable and try to find a solution. I believe in
the power of communities and art as a tool for changes. My works facilitate the relation between me and the audience in site-specific situations, important is a detail of present moment and the methode of archive that.
I’m active in the performance art duo PARAperformance (K. Wolszczak & D.K. Borkowska) and Kleintjekunst community where I present my performances for very young children. My works facilitate the relation between me and the audience in site-specific situations, important is a present moment.
