Filmy i prace wideo w programie W ciągłym ruchu w możliwie pełny sposób ukazuje rozwój oraz współczesne trendy w niemieckim filmie eksperymentalnym dziesięciolecia 1994-2004. 25 prac zaprezentowane jest w czterech blokach tematycznych: Obrazy świata – światy obrazów, Przemieszczenia, Huśtawka uczuć, Strukura i symbole.

Program, ukazujący filmy powstałe w ostatniej dekadzie, stanowi kontynuację serii wydawnictw Instytutu Goethego, dokumentujących rozwój awangardowej i eksperymentalnej kinematografii w Niemczech od lat 20. do połowy lat 90.

Wyboru prac prezentowanych w ramach projektu dokonali wybitni kuratorzy i znawcy tematu: Siegfried Zielinski (Akademia Sztuki Mediów w Kolonii), Jochen Coldewey (nordmedia, Brema) i Herman Nöring (Festiwal Sztuki Mediów Osnabrück).

Równolegle, w dniach 25, 26 i 28 października, program "W ciągłym ruchu" prezentowany jest przez Instytut Goethego również w CSW Zamek Ujazdowski w Warszawie, w połączeniu z pokazem Ukrytej Dekady- nowego projektu WRO Art Center, prezentującego z kolei polską sztukę wideo lat 1985-1995.

Profesor Yvonne Spielmann, wykładająca obecnie media wizualne na Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Braunschweig, wcześniej pracowała w katedrze medioznawstwa na Uniwersytecie w Siegen w Niemczech. W 1989 roku ukończyła z tytulem doktora studia na wydziale nauk humanistycznych i społecznych Uniwersytetu w Hanowerze, w 1997 uzyskała habilitację na Uniwersytecie w Konstancji.

Była stypendystką oraz pełniła funkcje naukowe między innymi w Getty Center (1989/90), The Society for the Humanities na Uniwersytecie Cornell (2000/2001), Bellagio Study and Conference Center Fundacji Rockefellera (2002), The Daniel Langlois Foundation (2003 i 2004), The Japan Foundation (2005), oraz na Narodowym Uniwersytecie w Singapurze (2007).

Jest autorką książek poświęconych zagadnieniom sztuki medialnej i jej związków z filmem eksperymentalnym: Eine Pfütze in bezug aufs Mehr. Avantgarde, Intermedialität. Das System Peter Greenaway oraz Video. Das reflexive Medium. Ostatnia z tych publikacji jesienią tego roku ukaże się w języku angielskim.

Pod jej redakcją ukazały się m.in. publikacje Kunst und Politik der Avantgarde, Image - Media – Art (w języku niemieckim i angielskim, wspólnie z Gundolfem Winterem) oraz wydania specjalne „Convergence: The Journal of Research into New Media Technologies” - What is Intermedia? (wspólnie z Jürgenem Heinrichsem) oraz Hybrid Identities in Digital Media (wspólnie z Kerstin Mey), jak i fragment “Art Journal”: Forty Years of Video Art i Cultural Renovations. Spaces, Identities, and Re/presentations (razem z Meike Kröncke oraz Kerstin Mey).

Yvonne Spielmann (Ph.D. habil.) is Professor of Visual Media at the Braunschweig School of Art, previously an Assistant Professor of Media Studies at the University of Siegen in Germany. She graduated from the University of Hanover, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences with Ph. D. in 1989 and obtained her habilitation from the University of Konstanz in 1997.

Research grants and fellowships include the Getty Center (1989/90), The Society for the Humanities at Cornell University (2000/2001), The Rockefeller Foundation's Bellagio Study & Conference Center (2002), The Daniel Langlois Foundation (2003 and 2004), The Japan Foundation (2005) and The National University of Singapore (2007).

She is author of books exploring issues of media art and its relations with experimental film: “Eine Pfütze in bezug aufs Mehr. Avantgarde", “Intermedialität. Das System Peter Greenaway”, and “Video. Das reflexive Medium”. The English translation of the latter is forthcoming in fall this year.

She has edited “Kunst und Politik der Avantgarde”, “Image - Media – Art” (German and English, together with Gundolf Winter) and special issues of Convergence: The Journal of Research into New Media Technologies - “What is Intermedia?” (together with Jürgen Heinrichs) and “Hybrid Identities in Digital Media” (together with Kerstin Mey) as well as the section “Forty Years of Video Art” of Art Journal and “Cultural Renovations. Spaces, Identities, and Re/presentations” (together with Meike Kröncke and Kerstin Mey).
